A nice article in the Tribune about the Monkey Chow Diaries. While I have previously been told I talk funny, mumble, and sound Canadian, I have never before been described as "heavily accented."
You have little to no accent compared to most Candanians I have talked to. People in Chicago have a funny accent, so I guess you have an accent from their point of view? Honestly though, you sound like any other random person from a big city in America. People are funny.

as this is coming from chicago, i wouldn't put much stock into it. :)
Yeah, I'm from Ottawa, and you ARE heavily accented, man. Deal with it. "monkey choow oowt!" Indeed.
After living in North Carolina for the last six years, your lack-of-Southern-accent is quite refreshing. But heavily accented? I don't think so.
By no means did I notice an accent ... and I'm from Massachusetts with a Midwest accent.
