If you're into (avoiding) stupid or scary-sounding foods, you should read The Onion AV Club's Dining for a Dollar series. Basically, they sample snacks, entrées and desserts that can all be found at your local dollar store. And if the fact that some people actually have to resort to buying groceries at A Buck Or Two doesn't make you angry, I don't know what will.
Dining for a dollar. Would be fine in most places, but not the states. Here's some more Stupid Food.
